Features Back to FAQTo use feature keys and programmable speed-dial keys, first take telephone off-hook by either lifting handset or pressing SPKR. Then, press the desired feature or speed-dial key. Note: The FLASH key may used to access certain telephone
“system” features. It has the same effect as “tapping” the
hookswitch. FLASH may be stored in programmable speed-dial memory keys,
along with other digits. On rare occasions, a power surge or extremely high static electricity discharges near the telephone may cause the telephone to "lock-up." If this happens, some of the telephone’s feature keys may become temporarily inoperative. To reset, simply disconnect the telephone from the external phone line for approximately 20 seconds by unplugging the modular cord at the rear of the telephone, and then reconnecting the cord. Also, the telephone’s “programmable” speed-dial keys may sometimes need to be re-programmed following exposure to excessive levels of static electricity. Should this happen, please reduce static electricity levels near the telephone by spraying “anti-static” spray on nearby carpets, chair mats, and upholstery. Then follow the instructions above to re-program the “programmable” keys.SciTec Feature
