Boise State University has developed these
specifications as Master-Spec documents to define requirements and assist Architects, Engineers and RCDD
Specialists in the planning, development and installation of Communication
Cabling and associated hardware
at Boise State University. These specifications represent the minimum standard to which
Boise State University and the Office of Information Technology will accept as completed
design and work. All major IT design plans and construction (on the building or
larger scale) must be reviewed and certified by an RCDD Specialist. Specific
equipment and techniques of installation have been specified to standardize and reduce the
variety of equipment that constitute the campus infrastructure in all Boise
State facilities.
