Securing Windows 2000/2003 Servers with Group Policy

Active Directory and Group Policy provide the ability to deploy security configuration templates to Windows 2000/XP/2003 systems via the application of Group Policy Objects (GPOs). These templates may consist of defined security settings and configurations for a number of areas, including:

bulletauditing
bulletsecurity options
bulletregistry entries and settings
bulletfile access control lists
bulletservices configuration

Team MS has developed a Baseline Server Policy GPO which makes several security-enhancing changes to the default Windows 2000/2003 server configuration. Administrators with servers in the boisestate.edu Active Directory who wish to use the GPO to help secure their servers or would like additional details may contact Team MS.
